General Consultations & OP
Regular Ayurveda consultations through the outpatient department — the place to start for most health concerns.

Traditional Ayurvedic care, specialised consultations and personalised treatments under one roof, at Kolassery, Thalassery.
Aptaveda Multispeciality Ayurveda Hospital brings together traditional Ayurvedic care, specialised consultations and personalised treatments under one roof. From regular outpatient consultations to therapeutic programs and specialised care, the hospital provides Ayurveda-based support for a wide range of health and wellness needs.
The hospital stands on the Vadakkumbad Road at Kolassery, on the outskirts of Thalassery. It was founded in May 2024 by Dr. Shavas MM, MD (Ayurveda), together with Dr. Nikhil, and offers classical Ayurvedic treatment services integrated where appropriate with modern medicine — outpatient and inpatient, preventive and curative.
Inpatient stays are structured as full residential courses of seven, fourteen, thirty or forty days, with accommodation on site so that treatment, diet and rest can be managed together.
Classical Ayurveda, appropriately integrated with modern medicine
Aptaveda describes itself as a new-generation multispeciality Ayurvedic hospital, offering classical Ayurveda treatment services appropriately integrated with modern medicine for preventive, curative and holistic care.
What that means in practice is a hospital structure around a classical discipline: consultation, admission where it is needed, supervised therapy, and accommodation close enough that diet and rest stay part of the treatment rather than an afterthought.

Ortho-neuro rehabilitation
Former Chief Physician, Al Bahja Indian Ayurvedic Clinic, Sur, Oman
Dr. Shavas MM earned his BAMS from Coimbatore Ayurveda College in 2008 and went on to an MD in Dravyaguna at ALN Rao Memorial Ayurveda Medical College, Koppa. He then spent around two and a half years in the Sultanate of Oman as Chief Physician of Al Bahja Indian Ayurvedic Clinic in Sur, broadening his practice with international patients. Back in Kerala, he founded MM Ayurveda Clinic in 2018 as a centre for ortho-neuro rehabilitation, pairing classical Ayurvedic treatment with focused orthopaedic and neurological care. Many patients have come to him with back pain, knee pain and other musculoskeletal or neurological conditions, among them people who had been advised surgery, and many have found lasting relief and moved more freely through Ayurvedic rehabilitation and pain management. In 2024 he opened Aptaveda Ayurveda Hospital in Kolassery, offering a broad range of treatments with particular strength in postnatal care and ortho-neuro rehabilitation. Aptaveda has since grown into retreat and wellness care: a branch in association with Villa De 1945 in Mahe, and the Aptaveda Ayurveda Retreat & Wellness Centre at 1866, the Heritage Judge Bungalow in Melur, Thalassery, where guests combine a heritage staycation with authentic Ayurvedic treatment and wellness programmes.
