A programme occupies part of a day, not all of it. What fills the rest, on this coast, is worth planning for.
Theyyam
North Malabar's ritual performance tradition, held at shrines across the region in season. The Heritage 1866 lists Theyyam among the experiences it arranges for guests.
Kalari
Kalaripayattu, the martial tradition of Kerala, is also among the experiences the house arranges.
Working life
Coir making, beedi rolling and toddy tapping are all part of the working landscape here, and can be seen rather than staged.
Towns and coast
Thalassery, Kannur, Mahe, Parapram and Pinarayi are all within reach, along with the beaches. Mahe has its own character as a former French enclave — the walkway along the river, St. Teresa's Church, and the street names that outlasted the administration.
seasonal notes and a suggested itinerary, to be developed with the client.
